Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams was added to the injury report as questionable today after being held out of practice with a knee problem. More than likely Williams was kept out of practice because the rain created sloppy field conditions and the team didn’t want to risk an injury. It’s the same knee that forced Williams to be listed on the injury report last week, too.
Williams was also listed as questionable against Atlanta but still managed to put up 122 total yards from scrimmage in a 28-19 win.
The bigger concern for the Panthers might be DE Charles Johnson, who was held out of practice again with a pectoral sprain and is listed as doubtful. He’ll likely be joined on the sidelines by FB Brad Hoover and FS Charles Godfrey, who did not practice either and are also doubtful. Basically, you can count all three out.
Along with Williams, DT Damione Lewis and RB Jonathan Stewart are also questionable, although both practiced full today.
