Panthers WR Smith involved in car accident en route to game

   Carolina Panthers star WR Steve Smith was involved in a minor car accident on his way to tonight’s game at Bank of America Stadium, a team official confirmed. Team spokesman Charlie Dayton said somebody “bumped into Smith” but he’s fine and will play in tonight’s game against the Miami Dolphins.

   The accident occurred on Colony Drive in the South Charlotte area.
