DE Charles Johnson will miss at least another week with a strained pectoral muscle.

Johnson said Monday he will not play Sunday against the New York Jets, but hopes to be back for the following week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was injured in Caorlina’s Nov. 15 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

“I’m going to try to make into next week’s game (against Tampa Bay) and sit out the Jets game,” Johnson said.

He said it’s frustrating, but “you don’t want to jump out there and hurt yourself even worse.”

He said he injured it while trying to make a tackle.
