The Carolina Panthers placed WR Wallace Wright on injured reserve today with a shoulder injury that will require surgery. That’s a huge blow to the special teams.
It also opens the door for Charly Martin to earn a roster spot.
In other moves, the Panthers placed DE Hilee Taylor on injured reserve and LB Thomas Davis on reserve-PUP, as expected. They cut WRs Dexter Jackson and Oliver Young to get down to 75. Jackson was a former standout at Appalachian State.
