First major (and unexpected) name added to cut list

   Carolina Growl is the first to report that DT Tank Tyler has been cut by the Panthers, as has last year’s rookie third-round draft pick Corvey Irvin. Tyler’s agent Jordan Woy confirmed that Tyler has been cut. The Panthers gave up a fifth-round pick in 2010 to get Tyler last year. 

    As of now it appears Nick Hayden remains on the roster at DT along with Louis Leonard, Ed Johnson and Derek Landri.

   The others we’ve previously reported as being cut include: QB Hunter Cantwell, WR Kenny Moore, OL Rob Petitti and C.J. Davis, LB Mortty Ivy, CBs Brian Witherspoon and C.J. Wilson. That’s nine of 22 cuts.
