Agent: RT Jeff Otah is healthy and ready to go

The Carolina Panthers are counting on big right tackle Jeff Otah being a big part of their plans on offense this year.

And that’s big news for the Panthers.

And by all accounts he appears ready to get back on the field after missing all of last season with a knee injury. Eric Metz, the agent for Otah, said his client is in “great shape” and ready to start the season.

“I talked with Marty Hurney and he told me he was thrilled with how good Jeff looked. His knee is great,” Metz said.

Otah has missed the last 19 games with knee injuries.

Carolina’s running game suffered without Otah in the mix last year. When healthy, the former first-round draft pick from Pitt is an outstanding run blocker.
